Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Hi there!  

Some things to know/remember:

• Spring intersession is March 17th through March 28th.  School resumes March 31st.

• On Friday, March 14th from 9:00 to 10:30 we are having our Beach Party!!  A note will be sent home about it later this week.  Basically, the kids are to dress up in beachy attire (no swimming suits though) and bring a beach towel.  I would LOVE to have volunteers to come and help at the beach party.  The students will be rotating through six activities and we can always use extra hands.  Please let me know if you can join us. :))

• Keep practicing sight words and counting to 100. :)

Dr. Seuss' Birthday was on Sunday!!  We celebrated it in many ways.  One way was that we made Green Eggs and Ham.  It was awesome, because we got to review our unit on matter... eggs go from a liquid to a solid... and we got to make a prediction:  Will using blue food coloring turn our eggs green?  About half of the class said yes, half said no.  Of course, blue food coloring turns the eggs a lovely shade of green. :)  We had so much fun and the kids really loved eating them! :)

We also got to hang out with 5th grade friends and watch Fox in Socks and then color a sock.
