Q and U said "I do."
A match made in heaven-- alphabet wedded bliss.
The wedding of Q and U is one of the things I truly look forward to each year. It is a big deal. The girls look so beautiful as queens and the boys look so handsome as quarterbacks. The ceremony itself is just precious, and the dancing is adorable. I love it so very much!
We try to make it as much like a real wedding as possible. The queens all held lowercase "q's" and the quarterbacks held uppercase "q's."
Then, the uppercase Q and U came walking down the aisle! AWWW!!!! (My seamstress skills were seriously put to the test on those love birds)! :)
Here comes the bride.....
Our new principal, Mr. Carlson, performed the ceremony. He did an amazing job. His demeanor and voice in the ceremony was so good- I seriously could have believed I was at a real wedding. He even danced. It was awesome.
I think my favorite part is teaching the kids how to "slow dance" before the wedding. Now, we definitely are not talking Dancing with the Stars. Unfortunately, I was born with two left feet. Nope, a simple "one, two" step, back and forth will do; and they did it- and it was just about the cutest thing I've ever seen in my life. Then, after the wedding ceremony commenced... they danced. <3
We even had spins. Yes, seriously.
I would like to take credit, but I did not teach them that. :)
Now, what is a wedding without a little fast dancing? Not a wedding in my book! :)
We did the chicken dance.
We did the cha cha slide (which, by the way, I could use some serious tutoring in). haha.
We danced to "Stayin' Alive!"
Most importantly- we had fun!
By the time the dancing was over- refreshments were definitely in order. The juice and cookies were inhaled by our lovely queens and quarterbacks.
Q and U had a blast and send the warmest of thanks to all of their wedding guests.
They are on their honeymoon now.
In QUebec. :)
Until next time!!
